Turning my tablet PIN on or off
If you want to protect your SIM against unauthorised use, you need to turn on your PIN protection. Once done, it needs to be keyed in every time you turn on your tablet. Please note: your PIN doesn't prevent others from accessing the contents of your tablet (such as pictures and messages). You can prevent this by turning on the lock code.
Tap the time in the bottom right corner of the display.
Tap Settings.
Tap Security.
Tap Set up SIM card lock.
Tap Lock SIM card to turn the function on or off.
If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service.
Please note:
If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM is blocked permanently. In this case, you'll need a new SIM from Optus.
